About This Program
This Saturday morning class is a blend of Hatha and Yin Yoga, a gentle accessible practice suitable for individuals of all fitness levels.
Focusing on gentle mindful stretching and improving flexibility allows the body to rehabilitate the connective tissue that forms around our joints. Holding each pose for several minutes at a time, encourages the body to go beyond the muscle into the fascia, allowing the body to relax and release tension while promoting deep breathing and stillness.
Throughout the class, you will be encouraged to focus on your breath, using it as a tool to calm your mind and deepen your practice. The breathing exercises, or pranayama, are an integral part of all yoga practices and can help you cultivate a sense of inner peace.
In addition to enhancing your flexibility, this class will help you reduce stress and anxiety, connect with your breath, calm your mind, improve your quality of sleep, and encourage an overall sense of well-being.
As well as an opportunity to make a few new friends, you will leave the class feeling rejuvenated, centered, and ready to take on the week ahead.
